More about our wooden beds

Our wooden beds are designed with clean modern lines and built with solid timbers such as oak, walnut, maple, ash, cherry, beech and pine – we don't use veneers. We also make futon sofa beds and futon mattresses. Our beds are delivered flat packed for easy home assembly and can be delivered Worldwide. If you are in the UK, all our beds can be bought securely online.

Indian duvets and bedspreads

Our collection of Oriental Bedding, made in India exclusively for the Natural Bed Company, includes silk duvet covers, vibrant embroidered bedspreads with glittering mirrors and velvet quilts - soft and luxurious for relaxing on the sofa or day bed.

Pine beds

Our philosophy is to make our beds as accessible as possible so we offer our modern designs in pine as well as hardwoods. Click here to see some of our most popular pine beds, all on one page. Our contemporary pine beds are made to the same sahara pine bedexacting standards as our hardwood beds; they're also made in our workshops in Sheffield, UK. We use a high quality timber for our pine beds so, although there will be some knots they will be few and small. Our pine beds are offered in different finishes:

Sanded pine beds are the lowest price and a good choice if you want to finish the bed yourself, maybe to match other colours in your bedroom;

Clear pine beds have a matt lacquer with a slight sheen which protects the wood and brings out the richness of the wood;

Stained pine beds can be ordered in a choice of colours. They have a final finish of clear matt lacquer. Wenge is a popular colour for a contemporary oriental bed.

The prices for our beds and mattresses include delivery on the UK mainland.

Mattresses for wooden beds

A new bed usually needs a new mattress and we have an excellent selection – our range includes Waterlattex, Relaxsan, Memory foam, high quality Futons and an Organic Latex mattress made in the UK. The essential qualities of comfort and good back support are enhanced by the sprung beech slats used in the construction of our beds.
